This logo takes DD, the initials of Daming, as its core shape.
The two solid semi-circles on the left echo the sun and moon that compose the Chinese character "Ming", symbolizing the root of traditional Chinese culture. The radial lines on the right stand for the outward spread of civilization, representing the integration of Eastern and Western cultures. Adopting an elegant matte gold-on-black color scheme, together with English and Traditional Chinese text, the design matches the foundation’s positioning: based in Hong Kong, spreading Oriental civilization to the whole world.
